It is intended to provide New York producers and growers with information about formal and informal means of dealing with risks in their agricultural businesses.

The latter half of the 1980s saw continuous reductions in the dairy price support program. As a result, the 1990s provided a return of price volatility that had not been witnessed by the current generation of dairy producers. It also gave birth to futures markets in dairy products and tools to help manage those risks. This page provides materials to access those tools.
The Northeast Center for Risk Management Education at the University of Delaware was established in 2001 with funding from the USDA Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service (CSREES).
