The Small Farm Institute is a Maryland Cooperative Extension program designed to meet the needs of farm operators (i.e., part-time, hobbyists, minority, and/or limited-resource farmers). The SFI develops sustainable agricultural technologies and provides techical assistance to small farm operators. It also offers research, educational, and outreach programs in diverse areas including horticulture and farm management.
